I am currently a recent graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Design. I never really expected myself to be a Communication Design major. I knew that I loved to create and was on the path to becoming an Entrepreneurship major. I have always had a curious and creative mind and would keep a list of my many inventions and ideas in the notes section on my phone for many years. One day in my free time, I decided to venture to the Communication School at Elon to try out Photoshop. My sorority was in need of some graphic design images for their PR committee and I thought I could give it a go. Even though I was not on the committee, I decided to try and teach myself Photoshop and see what I could create. I was at the computer for hours, watching YouTube tutorials, and experiencing a lot of trial and error. I had a vision in mind and tried many ways to achieve that vision.

I realized that I’m not only confident in my abilities as a designer but, I enjoy the experience. The amount of time I put in to create something is not a burden for me. I feel that as I am working on a project, I am not concerned about how long it might take but whether I am able to finish something that I am truly proud of. 

 

I am an out of the box thinker. I don’t usually go with the easiest solution. I go with a solution that is unique but delivers the message to the proper audience effectively. I am looking for an internship that not only challenges my abilities but will give me the opportunity to use my imaginative mind to solve problems and make solutions.
